  Brutal John, The Most Brutal Ever With the awesome comeback of the boomer shooter FPS genre into the scene, There are many studios entering the hall with big dreams and efforts, and today's game is a prime example. With the market starting to get the fun out of the fast paced games, many new indie studios are jumping into the scene for this genre, and many more are getting there quickly and efficiently thanks to the commercial game engine market. With Unreal Engine, Unity and the newest Godot Engine, most of indie games were made possible. Koa and The Five Pirates of Mara by Chibig, Talpa Games and Undercoders. This is a platformer game that reminds me of little big planet series. This game is actually an indie game. As it stands it has got the Best Platformer at the indie dev day 2022. As always this is Joey and this is Koa and the five pirates of Mara.

Platformer games have defined a lot of good memories along many years. Because platformers have been since the game industry world began in the 1980s. Which I believe began with the first platformer of super Mario bros. This game paved the way for many years to come. Platformers have developed so much since then. We got the 3D into 2D platforms like metroidvania on the earlier Nintendo consoles as the WII. This was an unbelievable feat in 2005/6. Then came the Little Big Planet series on the PlayStation. This series paved the way for getting 3D elements into the platformer genre. Many games took the genre ahead after as the newer Mario games on the Nintendo switch, and SpongeBob SquarePants the cosmic shake. I have wrote a post about SpongeBob you can read it here

Koa here is a new indie game from the same genre of 3d platformers that actually reminds me of little big planet game that was recently released for PC. The developer of the game, Chibig had some background since he released a game before called the summer in Mara. This makes the game looks like a piece in the developer's 3D world. This is actually a nice feature. You play as Koa and her friend Napopo, where you venture into action. The game is set to take part at the island of Mara. When we say islands what does come in mind? of course, beaches and volcanoes. Thank Hollywood for that. Yes, the game features some fun on the beaches and other on the dangerous volcanoes on the island. You got and solve puzzles and avoid traps to defeat the filthy pirates o the islands. This concept is good as a storyline in a 3d platformer game. The game features a cartoony 3D look that actually helps the game. The game is actually so chill and fun, so the cartoony 3D look aids the game in this aspect. a Fun fact, the game is still under development but there is a stated release date of 2023. This is good because we will get the game this year, and bad because nop current appointed time at the year. The game has a steam page and a wishlist button so, you know what to do.

The Verdict

Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara by Chibig is an upcoming 3D platformer game with 3D cartoony graphics and a lot of graphics. This game is still under development and will be released in 2023. make sure to wishlist the game on steam to support the developers in finishing the game. with all of this, thanks for reading, that was Joey. RAIDBORN review RAIDBORN is a indie cup finalist indie game developed by Phodex Studios. This game will be a FPS action adventure indie experience with great story and intuitive gameplay.
