With the market starting to get the fun out of the fast paced games, many new indie studios are jumping into the scene for this genre, and many more are getting there quickly and efficiently thanks to the commercial game engine market. With Unreal Engine, Unity and the newest Godot Engine, most of indie games were made possible. Spongebob is getting a new game and feels fun, Introducing Spongebob and the Cosmic Shake

Who doesn't love spongebob? none!. With new game releases coming in January, THQ nordic made the call to release a new spongebob game soon. This is Joey on GamerFlux and this is Spongebob SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake.

Spongebob games have evolved through the years. Games like Plankton's robotic revenge and others got released on consoles like the XBOX 360 or PS3, Nintendo WII or much more. There weren't much about PC in those ages. Not until Purple Lamp Streamline studios decided to make a new game for the people. They made a game I played myself and had a lot of fun. They made the 2020 release of Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. I have great memories about this game. It was a great experience to see Bikini Bottom in a 3D experience in Unreal Engine 4. The game had not so bad reviews, although it was fun for me as a spongebob fan. One thing to mention though was the voice acting. Battle for bikini bottom rehydrated hada top notch voice acting, it felt as if you were inside the cartoon series.

The new game, the Cosmic Shake follow the story of spongebob and Patrick, walking in bikini bottom. They meet a fortune telling mermaid that can make your wishes come true. With a pure heart, they open in tears with a list of unstoppable wishes. This turns over the table as Bikini Bottom gets into a havoc by their wishes. Friends get to change. Everybody become some other people. Spongebob and Patrick realizes their problem and tries to fix it in an amazing platformer fun like no other. The game relies on some references from the cartoon series esp. episode 129 about primitive spongebob.

Go help your friends, Don't leave them alone drowning in their dreams. Go help 'Sheriff' Sandy and the king monster Gary in unstoppable fun series of action and adventure. The set time fro release is 31st January 2023, which is near. You can pre-purchase the game on steam with 2 editions available. The first edition is the standard edition of the game, and the second of BFF edition that includes:

  • Inflatable Patrick 50 cm – 19,7″.

The Verdict

Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake is a great funny game. It is on my list for gaming in February. It looks good and looks promising. Great visualization of Bikini Bottom, cool gameplay inspired by the cartoon series and unstoppable fun with friends.

RAIDBORN review RAIDBORN is a indie cup finalist indie game developed by Phodex Studios. This game will be a FPS action adventure indie experience with great story and intuitive gameplay.
