Diablo 4 Too Expensive?, Here is a solution

5 Other Diablo like ARPG games if you can't buy Diablo 4

Diablo as a series has defined a new genre of games like no other. The gameplay of slashing through hundreds of waves through enemies. Diablo 4 as the latest release of the series, is getting really in shape after release as a good AAA ARPG game, despite the controversy around it concerning the community and Diablo II (read more here). As with any AAA game, the MSRP price of Diablo 4 is a little bit high at the moment. So, here are a list for a little priced and free games like Diablo.

  • Table of Contents:
    • #5 Warhammer: Chaosbane:

Warhammer Chaosbane is a modern ARPG game released in May 2019, taking place in the Warhammer virtual universe. The game looks and plays with a heavy inspiration from Diablo series, and you can buy it for a sale. You can play as an Empire soldier tanking damage, a Dwarf Slayer with a hybrid tank and damage class, Elf mage as a DPS and crowd control (like sorcerer in Diablo) and  as an Elf Waywatcher. As of all Warhammer games, this one also dives deep into the story of the clashing wars.

      #4 Lost Ark:

Next up on the list is Lost Ark. Lost Ark in an MMORPG that sort of a mix between Diablo and WoW. Lost Ark is popular around the world with almost 50k players all the time (check here). The game features numerous classes with even more numerous subclasses like never before. This makes the game more scalable meaning that you will probably never get bored. Lost Ark is free to play game. Won't cost you anything on steam to play. Good visuals, great flashy skillsets, attacks and hordes of enemies along the way to the end, all of these makes the game really enjoyable so get along here on steam.

      #3 V Rising:

V Rising is a fairly new ARPG game about vampires. Released 17 May 2022, developed and published by Stunlock Studios. V rising is all about vampires, slashing through enemies and humans alike, sucking blood from any creature that breath and building houses. The game has good graphics and VFX with fairly low requirements and size. I was shocked that the game was actually barely 7 GB. It houses many game modes under the surface as PvE and PvP. V Rising is still in Early Access sadly, but that is good as this open the communication between the developers and the players to deliver a fully fledged game at full release. V rising is currently priced at 19.99$ at steam (much cheaper than diablo 60$) go ahead and grab it on steam.

      #2 Last Epoch:

Last Epoch is a new ARPG that took the world by a storm on early access release. Last epoch is basically Diablo II with more modern design and good graphics. This game made a controversy around the diablo series as it was compared really hard with Diablo II, III and even the newly released Diablo IV, and I can see why the comparison, Last Epoch is Diablo II (the most favorite game of the series for me and some people in the diablo community) on steroids in every category. You have got back the grinding for gear, classes similar to Diablo II (a melee character, archer, mage, a nature user "druid/primalist" and so much more as 3 subclass for each class) This really pushes my head again to Lord of Destruction and Resurrected. I won't spoil anything further see for yourself when you buy the game on steam here.

      #1 Path of Exile:

Path of Exile will always be in the heart of all diablo fans. Firstly it was released on Oct. 2013 as a free to play game. No one believed that it was a completely play for free at first. But later, paying money was only for cosmetics and you could grind for good gear in the game without paying money. Path of exile developers stated on many occasions that Diablo II was their source of inspiration for the game and you can't deny it while playing the game that there are some ideas from the Diablo franchise. With a free to play price and no pay 2 win transactions that spoil the gameplay, this is the best game to play if you miss Diablo and Diablo IV is too expensive for you.  Caution! path of Exile is so addictive and will make you sit for so long to grind for gear so I suggest you get comfy when playing cause you will die a lot in this game. You can start playing right now on steam,

      The Verdict

Diablo series defined a genre and a completely new era with it, and coming the latest release of Diablo IV with some economic crises in the world, the game may be too expensive for them. Those five games will make worth of your time, as you feel like playing Diablo and still using a modern look and graphics. This was Joey and See ya on the next post.

When Metroidvania get the RTX update this is the result, introducing Grime, Colors of Rot

Grime is a mix of souls games and metroidvania     Grime is a platformer 3D game on steam that looks like Metroid games and carries some DNA from souls games, and yes elements that made Elden Ring, the game of the year 2022. Before we jump deeper into the game firstly what is Metroidvania?. Diving deep to the 80's, Metroid game was firstly released in that year. This first game defined an entire genre of games that still keep us locked at home trying all our best to finish it. Metroidvania genre is very simple, a 2D, 2.5D and more recently 3D side platforming, looking like the classical mario games, but with exploring. When you enter a level in grime, castlevania series back there on PS3 or what so ever metroidvania games, you are open to explore the level at your own will, mostly no scripted action, or forced direction. There is no right or wrong, you choose to explore the upper part first or the lower part. with each having the difficulty of stunts, enemies, traps and s...

    RAIDBORN review indie game!

RAIDBORN review RAIDBORN is a indie cup finalist indie game developed by Phodex Studios. This game will be a FPS action adventure indie experience with great story and intuitive gameplay. Indie games have gotten a lot of the new levels in 2022 and 2023. This game is going to be a big bang in the indie game world. This game actually reminds me of an old 2007/2008 Hellgate: London. Where you make a character in a RPG form like and build your character along the way with your own choices and weapons. This is Joey and going on and on with RAIDBORN. RAIDBORN currently has an ich.io page and a steam page with a wonderful trailer encasing amazing gameplay. The game will include some trading NPCs and non-stoppable action. RAIDBORN has the artstyle of a game I played before called Gunfire Reborn, pretty sure you heard about this game. The game looks promising and has a lot of promises to achieve. There is said to be a 20 hour solo player campaign with a great yet simple story. There will be a ...
