MEATGRINDER indie review!

MEATGRINDER is an awesome game, that gives you chills

Have ever had a feeling for destruction and chaos?, I believe that everyone at least had a an angry moment with someone in his life. If i describe you, this one is for you my friend. MEATGRINDER is a fast octane dopamine releasing FPS that combines subway surfers with the GZDOOM. You jump on speeding cars trucks, trains and even planes. with a good selection of weapons that aids the game artistic style. There is no cutscenes or story, just pure carnage throughout the stages with some bossfights with strong cars as HAMMER for example in the early stages.

a screenshot from the game showing destruction

From the screenshots, you can easily say that the devs were really inspired by the classic DOOM, same pixelated textures, low poly enemies and so on. This pixelated looks aren't a flaw, its the opposite. This low poly look gives the game its character, as it gives the game the artistic feel with the carnage that is happening on the screen. The vehicles are well modeled and looks good. One thing I would complement is the feel of the speed. While jumping you feel like trucks is just going 100 miles per hour while you jump and dash though them. The environment is lite, cause really not much to interact with, although in some stages, the environment introduce things like port cranes that drop containers on the road that gives you some harder time to jump and grapple. The gameplay is awesome, you have a heartbeat meter, if your heartbeat goes down you lose health and die, so the game encourages you to always jump, and move non stop. The movement is the key here, you have a 3-dash power and a grappling hook at your disposal to jump in between cars. Developers really made the movement somewhat challenging, to give you the fun of course.

However all of this, I had some raging moments with this game, the grapple hook is just janky, or had a bug of some sort. I use it at the rear end of a truck and it just flies me to the front of the car on the road which make me lose health. this was off-putting for some time, but I got te hang of it with time. The game is most likely built to keep you trying to kill those enemies while moving. Other than this the game is just pure fun. i can't describe how I felt when I hit an enemy mid air while using the grapple hook or when I kick an enemy before jumping in front of me. This game introduced the idea of how carnage without a story and cutscenes can produce a ton fun. The end result, I encourage everyone to play this game.

When Metroidvania get the RTX update this is the result, introducing Grime, Colors of Rot

Grime is a mix of souls games and metroidvania     Grime is a platformer 3D game on steam that looks like Metroid games and carries some DNA from souls games, and yes elements that made Elden Ring, the game of the year 2022. Before we jump deeper into the game firstly what is Metroidvania?. Diving deep to the 80's, Metroid game was firstly released in that year. This first game defined an entire genre of games that still keep us locked at home trying all our best to finish it. Metroidvania genre is very simple, a 2D, 2.5D and more recently 3D side platforming, looking like the classical mario games, but with exploring. When you enter a level in grime, castlevania series back there on PS3 or what so ever metroidvania games, you are open to explore the level at your own will, mostly no scripted action, or forced direction. There is no right or wrong, you choose to explore the upper part first or the lower part. with each having the difficulty of stunts, enemies, traps and s...

RAIDBORN review indie game!

RAIDBORN review RAIDBORN is a indie cup finalist indie game developed by Phodex Studios. This game will be a FPS action adventure indie experience with great story and intuitive gameplay. Indie games have gotten a lot of the new levels in 2022 and 2023. This game is going to be a big bang in the indie game world. This game actually reminds me of an old 2007/2008 Hellgate: London. Where you make a character in a RPG form like and build your character along the way with your own choices and weapons. This is Joey and going on and on with RAIDBORN. RAIDBORN currently has an ich.io page and a steam page with a wonderful trailer encasing amazing gameplay. The game will include some trading NPCs and non-stoppable action. RAIDBORN has the artstyle of a game I played before called Gunfire Reborn, pretty sure you heard about this game. The game looks promising and has a lot of promises to achieve. There is said to be a 20 hour solo player campaign with a great yet simple story. There will be a ...
