Zombie survival games have evolved, introducing Vorax on indiegala

Vorax is a survival game that is looking fresh

Survival games are evolving over time, beginning from minecraft to a more zombie story based games as Resident Evil games. Vorax is actually developed by a team of enthusiast game makers at IndieGala. For who don't know, Indiegala is a digital destribution platform that sell games and more other stuff. From the videos released by the devs on twitter, the game looks amazing.

While you are on a helicopter, you suddenly have a crash and drop on a mediterranean island. While walking on the island, you discover that there is a pathogen that expanded on the island and caused people to turn into monsters and zombies. Having only a basic survival kit, you thrive to survive in this bloody monstrous environment. With time spent on the island, you start collecting wood sticks, the equivalent of wood blocks in minecraft, and progress through crafting system to deliver more weapons that you use to protect yourself from those animals. This story is enough to keep you entertained and hooked to find the biolab and discover what the hell happened there.

The world in Vorax is well made with cool bits of exploration. The more you explore, the more you stumble upon more materials, plants and weapons that all can be crafted and used on your mission to survive and much more. Visuals are good in 2023, good gameplay and a certified lot of jump scares in the game. Zombies are well modeled and frightening. With the release of alpha testing, the game is getting even more polished. After some exploration, or you are just exhausted you can craft shelters and different protection devices and tools that protect your shelter from those zombies. The variety in Vorax is deadly, the story progresses into exploring the sewers and metro tunnels, where you find there some huge monstrous monsters that gives you goosebumps. The story has many objectives to achieve, and there is always a choice to enter a new story chapter or explore the world to find more materials to craft better weapons and much more. One of the objectives of the story is to locate the Biolab that conducted the experiments on the pathogen, and take some in-vitro samples for developing the antidote of the pathogen "Vorax". A cool feature that the game will support the steam deck, which in turn gives us the indication that this game will run normally on linux systems well.

Some Screenshots from the game:

Minimum System Requirements:

CPU:    3.2 Dual core processor.

RAM:    4 GB of ram.

GPU:    GTX 660 / RX 460 with at least 2 GB VRAM.

Disk space:    16 GB space available.

The Verdict:

Vorax is a good game, any horror game fan should try. It is not for the faint-hearted. The twist of choosing to explore and find new weapons to make the game more easy, or just be hasty to finish the story adds flavor to the game. All in all solid package. I encourage everyone to wishlist the game on steam. the game is set to be released in 2023. here is the twitter link: Vorax on twitter.

When Metroidvania get the RTX update this is the result, introducing Grime, Colors of Rot

Grime is a mix of souls games and metroidvania     Grime is a platformer 3D game on steam that looks like Metroid games and carries some DNA from souls games, and yes elements that made Elden Ring, the game of the year 2022. Before we jump deeper into the game firstly what is Metroidvania?. Diving deep to the 80's, Metroid game was firstly released in that year. This first game defined an entire genre of games that still keep us locked at home trying all our best to finish it. Metroidvania genre is very simple, a 2D, 2.5D and more recently 3D side platforming, looking like the classical mario games, but with exploring. When you enter a level in grime, castlevania series back there on PS3 or what so ever metroidvania games, you are open to explore the level at your own will, mostly no scripted action, or forced direction. There is no right or wrong, you choose to explore the upper part first or the lower part. with each having the difficulty of stunts, enemies, traps and s...

RAIDBORN review indie game!

RAIDBORN review RAIDBORN is a indie cup finalist indie game developed by Phodex Studios. This game will be a FPS action adventure indie experience with great story and intuitive gameplay. Indie games have gotten a lot of the new levels in 2022 and 2023. This game is going to be a big bang in the indie game world. This game actually reminds me of an old 2007/2008 Hellgate: London. Where you make a character in a RPG form like and build your character along the way with your own choices and weapons. This is Joey and going on and on with RAIDBORN. RAIDBORN currently has an ich.io page and a steam page with a wonderful trailer encasing amazing gameplay. The game will include some trading NPCs and non-stoppable action. RAIDBORN has the artstyle of a game I played before called Gunfire Reborn, pretty sure you heard about this game. The game looks promising and has a lot of promises to achieve. There is said to be a 20 hour solo player campaign with a great yet simple story. There will be a ...
