Selaco is a great game based on GZDOOM architecture
Merry Christmas, folks! This game actually surprised me once I hopped to play and test the demo. Selaco just looks 3D and you will be astonished to discover that some game elements are 2D. This game is going to be a huge hit in FPS games. The story is currently not discussed as the current game demo is actually story free. Not much is said about it in the demo. I personally think this is a marvelous piece to merge both 2D and 3D textures together. Exploring the 3D world just looks above average, then the hard fact hits you when you discover that your enemies are 2D, aggressive and smart. The gameplay is fast, like the more renewed DOOM series (eternal included).
Other things that amazed me in this demo was the interactive environment that you can actually play with. Press E to fold an emergency bed, Press E (the interacting button) to carry a chair, turn on or off a computer, write on keyboard, carry a stuffed toy bear, open doors and so much more. the world is just well crafted and alive that you can't say that this is like a classic DOOM. You gather weapons like pistols, rifles, shotguns and much more allowing you to go on booming into your 2D enemies. The mechanics are great, not much bugs and breaks about the physics of the game. There are many twists and mysteries that makes the game kinda fun and unable to predict. Your first mission in the demo is a residential building that you are in and suddenly it is under attack. You run to survive and stumble upon your enemies that shoot you with many bullets, but you don't find a weapon. Not knowing where to go, you go through ventilation system to reach other rooms that have armor and guns. you get that and get shooting everyone on your sight.
This game demo is compatible on windows and linux. I actually played this game demo on my personal computer running fedora linux F37.
Minimum system Requirements:
OS: Windows Vista / Linux 64-bit.
CPU: i3-2100 is minimum.
RAM: 6 GB of RAM is minimum.
GPU: 1 GB VRAM with opengl 3.3 (eg. GTX 630 or higher).
Disk Space: 900 mb.
The Verdict:
Amazing gameplay, good graphics and wonderful colorful interactive environment. This sentence sums up Selaco. Sadly no current stated release date, but this is ok as the devs are working hard to make us a good crazy game to give Gen-Z classical DOOM vibes. What we can do to support the developers of this game is simple. just wishlist the game on the steam using this link: Selacon on steam. Merry Christmas for everyone and hope you all fine.
